Before I came in, Stockbit already have a design system consists of buttons, controlling components (checkboxes, radio buttons, toggles, etc.), colors, top bars, text fields, icons, etc. The design system team already published the version 2.0.

As the time gone, Stockbit has grown up with so many features that requires consistency with the components used. Thankfully, on June 2023, I was appointed to be the leader of the new design system 3.0 team consists of 6 people including me.

The challenges were to align between designers’ components and developers’ implementation rates. We had to keep up with developers to fix our components consistency to fulfill our implementation rates. While the devs were building their technical documents, we built the new design system file. We used Figma’s new feature ‘Local Variables’ and mostly components library.
